For professionals & neighbors

Refer Someone for Meals

If you know a homebound neighbor who is eating alone, you can start their care. Referrals take a few minutes and cost nothing.

Who can refer

Anyone who notices

We accept referrals from hospital discharge planners, social workers, care managers, home health aides, senior center staff, clergy, family members, landlords, and neighbors — as well as from people requesting help for themselves.

You do not need a diagnosis code, an income statement, or an agency affiliation. You need the person's name, address, phone number, and a short description of the situation.

  • No cost to the client and no insurance billing
  • Serving Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties
  • Most referrals reviewed within a week
  • Start date depends on volunteer route coverage in that neighborhood
  • Client friends receive weekly meals plus a recurring in-home visit
